After the sudden death of his cousin, cast out by his conservative religious family for being gay, young Justin is determined not to make the same mistake. Terrified that his parents will find out about his own closeted sexuality, Justin enlists the help of his best college friend Jennifer to be his fake girlfriend.

As his grades start to plummet and he withdraws into himself even more, things look bleak for Justin, and he is forced to do an extra-credit internship over the summer. At first, Justin is happy to be working for the older and rugged Andrew. But when he develops feelings for his boss, it causes a chain of events that will change both of their lives forever.
