Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler Mysteries, Book 3

Short but actually satisfying

I don’t always expect shorter reads to deliver, but this one did for me. It didn’t waste too much time and still managed to build tension. I liked how things weren’t too obvious, made it more interesting. There were a couple moments I wish were expanded a bit more, but overall it worked. I finished it feeling like my time wasn’t wasted at all.

Had me hooked without even trying

I picked this up just to read a few pages and ended up going way further than I planned. The mystery pulled me in slowly but once it got going, I couldn’t stop. I liked how things weren’t too obvious and I actually had to think a bit. The personal conflicts made it feel more real too. Some parts felt slightly rushed, but overall it still landed well for me. I’d read more like this for sure.

More than just a simple mystery

I expected just a basic investigation story, but it had more going on than that. The friendships and tension added something extra that kept me interested. I found myself getting a bit frustrated at certain moments, but in a good way lol. It made me want to keep reading to see how things played out. Not perfect, but definitely engaging enough to finish in one sitting.

Pulled me in more than I expected

I started this thinking it’d be a quick mystery to pass time, but I got way more invested than I thought. I really liked seeing things from her side, especially how she handled the pressure when her friend was in trouble. Some twists actually caught me off guard which doesn’t happen often. The relationship bits added a nice layer too, even if a few moments felt a little slow. Overall, I enjoyed it and didn’t regret picking it up at all.
