The Necromancer

Humanity sent a caravan of spaceships from Earth - destined for a neighboring world. They did not make it. On arriving in the Antares Star System the ships broke down and humanity had to sink or swim, so to say, on worlds that already had a civilization. One that was old and kept to themselves.

The Trade Guild had paid for the starships and the trip outward. They maintained control of society and dictated what would become the norms for society. One of those norms was the number of children a couple could have - one. The parents of Mhel'Sargonus violated the norm. He was issued into the dense forest and deserted. But he didn't die. A Marconian by the name of Mag'yar adopted and trained him in the ancient magic of the Aryans (a long dead race who preceded the Marconians). Mhel grew up to become a thorn in the side of the Guild.
