Mike4 is the call sign for Chief Warrant Officer Sue O’Connell - a Special Operations Force (SOF) surveillance specialist. She is the daughter of a pair of CIA agents and the granddaughter of a famous World War II OSS agent. She is part of a team that “finds and fixes in place” terrorists so that SOF assault teams can “finish” the target.

An injury forces O’Connell to join a team of SOF operators training to become counterterrorism intelligence collectors. While at the CIA farm, Sue learns that her family has a more complex history in the CIA than she thought. A history that includes both counterintelligence secrets and a 60-year-old Russian vendetta.

Sometimes, learning family secrets can be painful. Sometimes, they can be deadly.

this was a lot of fun, a couple small patches that were really detail heavy set up a wonderful book and am now looking forward to the whole series!

This is a great story woven into a master class story about operations on par with LeCarre' . Highly recommended.

I very enjoyed the writing and performance regarding the involvement of entire teams of people.

Excellent communication and security protocols lingo

The overall story was ok. Parts of the plot were a little too convenient to be believable. Some of the plot twists are poorly developed, seem sudden, and come across as serving no purpose beyond steering the narrative in one direction or another. The narration is bad. Several common words are mispronounced, and it heavily detracts from the realism. Military time is used throughout, and it’s extremely clear that either the author, the narrator, or both, have little concept of how times are said aloud.

Ok, but lackluster
