Chester, as it turns out, is actually a monster god.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any time to throw festivals in his honor—the whole world has gone mad and is overflowing with corrupted monsters. His fellow Calamities, enraged that he’d forgotten them, have fused their worlds together in a fit of petty rage.

Now, everyone's stuck in a bizarre and dangerous hellscape with corruption overflowing from every dungeon. The strength I’ve gathered isn’t enough. We must rebuild what they have destroyed and raise an army of our own if we ever want to have a chance of fighting back and establish order to this world. And maybe, between the wild transformations and corrupted monster buffets, Chester and I can figure out the truth behind his mysterious past.

Great series

I was recommended the series by a friend of mine, weirdly had already downloaded a bunch of it, but never listened… So glad I did, fun series. Ryan does a great job of narrating, as well as Jeff per usual

humorously funny

This book series went by quickly. Plenty of details to get one emerged in the environment but not such to get you drowned in it. epic story telling. thank you

Best of the Series (no spoilers)

Easily the best of the series so far. Damon finally chilled out with talking about nobles every other sentence, the voice acting is somehow only getting better (Jeff Hays specifically is amazing as usual and Dorrie Sacks is getting better and better), and subplots are actually being tied up? Amazing!
In a world where authors extend series and subplots out to multiple books in double digits with very little payoff it is a nice change of pace.
If you have made it this far I see no reason why you wouldn't continue, I know I will bee.

Give me more CHESTER!!

Great installment as always, but I need more Chester. Audio enchanted the ebook to the ‘enth degree. I think they pick on my poor beloved Chester more than they should. Hopefully in the next book Chester will get more credit.

once again, a fantastic story with alot of funny things and nods to curtain cartoon/anime characters. I was so hooked on this that I listened to this since yesterday. the only thing that slightly bugged me was the overuse of chesters bodily functions which was funny at first but got old quickly as it went on and the tail end of the eating contest (trying not to give away spoilers). other then that it was excellent and I enjoyed it. cant wait for the next book.
