She’s allergic to commitment and afraid of animals. He’s looking for a wife and lives in a literal barn. (For clarification, it’s a converted barn. But he does live there with a golden retriever who doesn’t understand the concept of personal space.)

These opposites can attract all they want. They both know it will never work out. For one, even if she wanted to, Zoey could never give him what he wants.

But when Gage’s world is rocked by a devastating family secret, he turns to Zoey for one night to forget everything. That one night just might change everything…or ruin it. Yeah. That’s more likely.

I could not stop laughing. I had to rewind a couple couple times and laughed all over again. It's a must read.

Better even than the first in series

Well thought out characters and a satisfying conclusion. I liked the prog of the story. Good banter and extraneous characters were interesting as well. Story lake like a place I would visit even though it is in PA. Look forward to the third.

Fun, Small Town Romance

Zoey Moody doesn't do small towns, she doesn't do animals, and she definitely doesn't do relationships. The only reason she's in the small town of Story Lake is to help her BFF, Hazel, with her next book, and then she's going back to Manhattan. Then the handsome Gage Bishop, brother to Hazel's fiancé, has to go and put a wrench in her plans. Don't hate me, but this is my first Lucy Score book, and I'm really not sure why I waited so long to read her. I had so much fun reading this. Zoey was a ball full of energy. She was chaotic, she took on life with her full self, and she was such a delightful character. Gage was the opposite. While he loved with his whole heart, he was more reserved. They both brought out the best in each other. I absolutely loved how this book embraced ADHD, adoption, and disability. It showed it as something powerful rather than a hindrance. I can't wait to go back and read the first book of this series and more books by Lucy Score!
