A splash of the sea and the salt in the ocean air signals the beginning of the greatest whaling adventure of all time. This is literature's great voyage. The challenge of a man against the wonders of nature's ocean, of a man against his own weakness and strengths, and of a man against a demon, or perhaps his God, as he searches for his nemesis, the great white whale.

This exciting full-cast presentation is like nothing you've ever heard before!

Reseñas de la Crítica

"Superb multi-cast performances. This is more than just another reading of the classic, it's a unique theatre experience. The result is a dramatic, moving rendition which will delight those who have been reluctant to take on the great white in written word." (Reviewer's Bookwatch)

No context or background info, basically what you would expect in a comic book version.

Enjoyable but just a comic book version.

I have always wanted to read Moby Dick but when it seemed I had spare time to do this, some other books I had set aside grabbed my attention more easily. Then tonight, I went to audible to see if an abridged version of this classic tale is/was available: In fact there were many to select from and I chose this two hour version which included some music and sound effects along with narration by the storyteller “Ishmael”. Additionally, there were enactments of bars scenes with the sailors, conversations with the obsessed Captain Ahab (full of vengeance to destroy the great white whale named Moby Dick who had once swallowed the captain’s leg in a previous whaling event!) All battles fought at sea are dramatized extremely well in this audiobook and now I know why Herman Melville is a renowned talented author. If you (also) have been wishing to read — or listen to — Moby Dick, I recommend this excellent rendition… right through to its dramatic ending.

A LIFELIKE DRAMATIZATION
