Things that stress out this widowed single mom: high fructose corn syrup, intrusive thoughts about my son getting swept up by a tornado, and the sexiest hockey player to grace this planet.

Oh, and the fact that I’m also said hockey player’s physical therapist. But we’ll lock that tidbit away in the same nightstand as my battery-operated toys.

Moving my son and me across the country to live with my three best friends and our seven children into one dilapidated Boston brownstone should have been the biggest risk I’ve ever taken–not figuring out how to protect my heart, career, and panties while trying to navigate my secret double life.

But Rowan ‘Slick’ Parker is nothing if not hell-bent on taking slapshots at my comfort zone. The more I try to keep things professional, the more he works to break the rules with his charming grin, piercing gaze, and world-class rear end.

Not to mention, he adores my son.

So, I finally give in.

Don’t worry, though, it’s all temporary–a way for us to get each other out of our systems.

A Mother Pucking Good Read!

Oh how I freaking loved this book. The meet vibe (IYKYK) was iconic! I laughed out loud so many times at the hilarity. Shay’s snark and Rowan’s innuendos made for the best banter! I lived for the way he loved to rile up Shay. The emails with Rowan’s ridiculous signatures, gah it was perfection! These two left a singe in their wake with their fiery chemistry. Swati did not come to tease (well maybe a little) but when the time came, the spice was spicing! A dirty talking man will get me every. single. time.

Rowan fell first and hard and was willing to do whatever it took to be in the presence of Shay. He was such a little charmer. This man was tenacious, resourceful and I was all the way here for it. It’s just something about a man who will do anything in his power just to spend time with you. *sighs swoonily* He was also incredibly possessive and yeah it was hot AF.

Knowing how much she sacrificed and buried deep, it made my heart so happy to see Shay find a guy who challenged her to let go, live, laugh and love. I loved watching her let her walls down and live life with a little less fear and regimen. She found true happiness for herself as both Shay the woman and mother.

I loved Kai and Rowan’s bond, watching Kai come out of his shell, it was just the sweetest thing to witness. The bond of sisterhood and friendship between Shay, Dylan, Liv and Delia was absolutely everything!! Every minute of their story had me hooked and I hated the minute it ended.

When I see the names, Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor, I know I’m in for a treat. These two together made the tension thicker, the spice spicer…the absolute cherry on top of this delicious story. My goodness their narration was everything! Or should I say mother pucking phenomenal!

Number three

This one had me laughing out loud so loud. Green smoothie and is there a meaty flavor I’m detecting! In a smoothie? Bone broth and Lima beans.

Funny, heartfelt, and full of all the things that make a good romcom! I loved Shay’s growth as a person and mom—she learned to trust Rowan and herself and it was beautiful to see her character development!

Single Mom Hockey Romance

Mother Pucker by Swati MH is a single mom hockey romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton. This is the third book in The Momcoms series.

I love Swati's books and can't help but binge them in one sitting. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Rowan and Shay. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series Mother Hater by Daphne Elliot so I can get Delia and Enzo's story.

Teddy and Samantha did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a single mom romance, hockey romance, age gap romance, or forbidden romance.
