Lovable serial killer and mystery writer, Jessica Fletcher is visiting Beauty Fix, a retail cosmetics store, so she can get some juicy behind the scenes drama for her next book. What she uncovers under the guise of heavy creams, perfume sprits and plumped lips is dirty, sexy, murder. Who killed Gil Sacks? The hunky head of store security seemed to be more interested in his coworker's bodies than catching shoplifters.
Our murder thirsty beauty is in a fine pickle in this one. The suspects are many. There’s the looney retail staff who seem half baked to work there. And the clients are from retail hell, most annoyingly, Beauty Fix’s 8-year-old shoppers who dominate the sales floor. If that isn’t enough, poor Jess has a squatter in her New York apartment, and she’s discovered former Cabot Cove residents Amos Tupper and Sam Booth are now living together in Greenwich Village. The bodies are dropping faster than the sales at this struggling retail store. If Jessica can’t find out who the murderer is, she might be discounted herself.
