While I’ve enjoyed the stories in this series, the narrator has an unfortunate habit of using a squeaking voice register for many of the female characters. At times the narration reaches a pitch only dogs can hear. It stood out in the first couple of books, but I got used to it by the third or fourth. However, in this book, it’s back with a vengeance in the British accents.
