( வேறு இந்திய மொழியில் வந்திருக்கிறதா என்று தெரியவில்லை) சேர, சோழ, பாண்டியர்களை வைத்து நிறையப் பேர் சிறப்பாக எழுதியிருப்பதால் அந்த வழிக்குப் போகாமல் வேறு சரித்திரங்கள் யோசித்தேன். மீரா, அக்பர், சிவாஜி என்று பலர் கண் முன் தோன்றினார்கள். கடைசியில் கிருஷ்ண தேவராயரைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தேன். தென்னிந்தியர்களின் சமூக, அரசியில், கலாசாரத் துறைகளில் விஜயநகரப் பேரரசு செலுத்திய செல்வாக்கைப் போல் வேறு எந்த ஆட்சியும் செய்யவில்லை. ஆகவே அவரைக் கதாநாயகனாகத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தேன்.

A ruler with progressive thoughts. Awesome narrators, background score!!

At first, I thought it would be all about Thenali Rama and his acclaim but it turns out the story was centered on Krishna Devaraya, his longings, frustrations, triumphs and religious harmony he strives for. Bombay Kannan and all the narrators did a fantastic job. More than anything, the background score was rich and added to the experience! The fate of the lead female character at the end, who was projected throughout as a brave and independent thinker, is a big disappointment. It only negatively reinforces superstitious beliefs the emperor doesn't prescribe!
