There's no rest for the, erm… Well, for me.

Or for Tae Frost.

The world is spinning into chaos, calling out for a hero.

Can I rise to the challenge, or am I doomed to linger in this darkness?

I have to hold on to hope.

I have to be strong.

For Tae.

For Fizz.

For the whole of my heart.

Night Treasures is the fifth and final book in an urban fantasy romance series packed with magic, demons, action, and steamy moments. Step into the world of a warlock who always tries to see the sunny side of life, and the sexy vampire who makes his knees go weak.

This book is not a standalone and is best enjoyed by listening to the series in order.

There was nothing I disliked. The characters were well developed, and you really felt the emotions that they were feeling.

It was incredibly interesting and made you wonder what the world really truly is like

A finale that closes the loop on Clay and Tae without quite justifying the two books it took to get here. The resolution is functional — threats are neutralized, the relationship lands where the series always intended it to — but after the structural fatigue of book four, the payoff arrives without the accumulated pressure that would make it resonate. Amos writes the ending with genuine warmth, and Clay’s arc closes on a note consistent with the character Amos built in book one, which is not nothing. The series delivered its best work early and held on long enough to finish; that’s a modest verdict, but an honest one.

The resolution of the demon threat, Clay’s out of control powers, and Button Man’s arc were all predictably handled. The only surprising thing was how little I cared. This last book had Clay and Tae separated nearly all the time. The support characters were barely there and contributed nothing except for the chance for Tae to reflect on friendship. For that matter, there was a lot of maudlin reflecting going on, whether Tae thinking about Archie’s former military life (now we get a backstory?) or Clay and his brother weeping over their dad’s past. It was all just fine. Doubt I’ll listen again.

Zero surprises made an underwhelming end
