On gin lane review

I absolutely loved this book! I grew up on Long Island & know many of the places the author referenced to. A great story! I loved reading about how the main character ever Leigh came into her own that summer. I highly recommend.

Stumbling narration…

The fairly straightforward storyline set in the posh Long Island East End would have greatly benefitted from an adequate narrator. The halting reader repeatedly stumbles over words, mispronouncing or otherwise butchering the simple text. This consistent jarring to the listener makes the book an odious chore to finish.

Amazing Story. Painful Narration.

I LOVED this book. LOVED it. I am actually listening to it again because I loved it so much. The narration is atrocious. I can say, that if you give it a little bit and don’t think about it, it becomes tolerable. I loved the characters and the whole story. It really takes you there. If you can’t handle the narration (understandable), get a written copy! GREAT summer read!

Great story-horrible narrators

Half-way through this book and had to review. The narrators nearly ruined this book! Read instead of listen!!
