One Knee Away

Being a young man is always difficult and navigating through high school is a unique experience for everyone. Especially for a young man with hopes of becoming a football star. All throughout my football days I was a star until I wasn’t. Playing football has been some of the best times I’ve had in high school and also the reason for some of the worse days I’ve had in high school. From scoring touchdowns to being benched. Having undefeated seasons to not so undefeated seasons. I detail the pleasures of having a high school sweetheart and juggling a forever changing home life. During my high school years I was a High Honors National Society student and homecoming winner. I was the league leading rusher for my conference in my senior season with 1500 yards, 16 TDS and one turnover. I will always wonder what my life would have been if I made it to play college football. Nothing in life is to be taken for granted, especially the experience of high school football. Football in my book after all the physical punishment dealt and received also serves as a metaphor for life lessons and personal development.
