Someone is poisoning San Francisco's foodies. Tony Mandolin, the fog city's only Private Eye with a view into the supernatural, has been retained to find out whom and why.

Unfortunately, this brings him to the attention of Medb, the Queen of the Unseelie Court and it seems that Tony's only hope of survival lies in the hands of Landau Bain, the alcoholic wizard, and Bain is cranky.

Performed by Bradley Smith, Elliot Dash, Andy Brownstein, Dani Stoller, Patrick Bussink, Eric Messner, Todd Scofield, Nora Achrati, Andy Clemence, Karen Novack, Yasmin Tuazon, Kimberly Gilbert, Scott McCormick, Matthew Keenan, Zeke Alton, David Jourdan, Christopher Walker, Gregory Linington, Ken Jackson, Colleen Delany, Katy Carkuff, Thomas Keegan, Jacob Yeh, Terence Aselford, Lolita Horne, Richard Rohan.

Really LOVED the first book but this one falls a little flat story-wise. Where the first book slowly introduced characters and supernatural elements, this one seems to do the opposite by throwing several different things together all at once. The result is a complete mess with the plot scattered all over the place. The main story has to do with mysterious poisonings, but on top of trying to figure out the poisonings, Tony has to deal with trolls, demons, witches, a priest, a wizard, a were-beagle, a love interest, a new puppy, rival detective, pixies, the seelie and unseelie queens and their courts, etc...In a 5 hour story. It does mostly tie up in the end and the character interactions are entertaining, especially with Frankie the MVP. The recording itself also isn't the best quality since there are a couple places where the audio overlaps. At first I thought it was intentional as characters talking over each other but the 2nd and 3rd times it happened, you can tell something got edited wrong.

A good sequel but...
