Ehhh

Lucinda is one of my favorite authors, she’s an auto buy for me but this wasn’t one of my favorite books. The ending felt rushed and without closure and I am a reader that really needs a HEA so without that, I’m always disappointed. There wasn’t really any twists, it kind of showed you who the “bad guy” was and that was it. Narrators were great and I liked the story, just not the ending.

Random book

The narrators were great, the book just felt unbelievable and random. From the beginning to the ending.

The ending

Listening to the story rather than reading it felt like I was watching a movie, it helped build the story in my mind. So glad that I decided to listen to this book.

The reader was very good. The story did have a fairly good twist but the actual ending was lame.

So they leave it with Laurel dead , Noel having an emotional break after coming into the house and the culprit gets away to Germany…SERIOUSLY ????? Didn’t need it tied up sweetly with a pretty bow but I can think of 4 or 5 more interesting endings. It felt like she was tired of the story so she did a quick chop/chop.

I really wanted to feel differently about this book and wanted to prove the ratings wrong... but no. it was ok... nothing crazy
