People as Scars

Jess cuts herself. Pink spirals and dark scars cover her biceps and thighs and places she can hide. Like cuts, people slice through her life to leave a mark, too. Her brother Jessie is one of them.

Their first year in six outside a mental health facility has Jess trapped in small town America with no friends while Jessie starts his senior year of high school. Jess and Jessie experience these challenges as different people, but they share one struggle with dissociative identity disorder. While they feel like different people, they have one reflection.
