So much fun but heavy plot too!

I am really digging this world these two authors have created! I love the camaraderie and found family they have assembled with these best friends and their packs. Also this community is so adorable, shown so easily when they come together when Dani is targeted and her business is put in jeopardy and her wellbeing. I love the little old ladies of Willow Lake hahaha, so many laughs and warm and fuzzy feelings from them!

I think for me in this one I was a little sad about how the steam was done in this one, especially with Dani's heat and everything. I thought book 1 had a great mix of steam and plot and nothing was overdone. This one we had more fade moments, more telling us instead of showing us, it just wasn't as good to be honest as book 1. I felt like I was jipped out of the goodies hahaha, if that makes sense. We get this amazing build-up and then it was kinda skimmed over. That is the main reason I rounded down my original 4.5 stars to a 4 on here because it just wasnt as solid/well-rounded as book 1. Not again not saying I didnt like it, I loved these characters and am super excited for more from this world. I will be grabbing all of these on audio because I am enjoying it all.

I loved the concept of the fun baseball league, like the Savannah Bananas and their league. The videos of theirs is always so much fun to watch on social media and it was fun to watch a game when it came through my state last year. I enjoyed the play on that, just enough to make us feel like we are at the game or at their practice, without it overwhelming the storyline. Also great timing with the audio release right when baseball season started for the year! I loved the dynamics with the guys, how different they were but how protective and possessive of Dani they were. I didnt have a clear favorite which I always a good sign of great characterization and not focusing too much on one guy in the harem. I loved the nerdiness with the convention/cosplay, their families, the flirty moments, the kids with the camp. So many wonderful moments in this book to highlight but I don't want to give things away. The courting on this one was so swoonworthy!

Narration was fabulous yet again. I could hear these characters loud and clear, could imagine these situations and their performances did a great job putting me right in the mood/could see the authors' vision with this fantastic story! I like Jake with his various tenors, he can do low and higher voices. Lessa was good, did sometimes go OTT for me (some of my previous complaints about her squeaks haha) but it didnt deter or damage her performance for me not to give the audio 4.5/5 stars.

Can't wait for the final girlie to get her HEA!!

Knuckleheads

Jarica James and Jenee Robinson are amazing and I love this series so much. I cannot wait to read Bea's story. I love that the baseball is like Banana ball.
