Loved this story!

Some of the reviews had me questioning choosing this book…I’m glad I didn’t listen. I loved this book. The primary characters, Axe and Caden, were so engaging and I enjoyed their journey towards each other. The story was exciting and interesting…the bad guy (who would have thunk)…a great story!

nearly dnf

I love Chris Chambers and chose this because he was the narrator, and was so disappointed, I couldn't cope with repeated use of TUMMY to begin with let alone the nauseating WET pronunciation of GRAAN-PAWW. it was a mess. Kaden honestly got better as a character but magic dick is an tired trope.

It's a thing!

Story good. MC are good. Narrator not so much. He would be ok but then he got to the could-dent, would-dent business and he lost me. it annoys me to the point where is interrupts my listening. It really bugs me. It's a thing!!!

A disappointing listening experience

I was initially excited to dive into this, but unfortunately, the narration proved to be a significant distraction. The narrator's flow & over emphasis made it difficult to connect with the characters and immerse myself in the story. While the plot seemed promising, I found myself struggling to stay focused and engaged. I would recommend considering a different narrator for future listens.

Kept Me Listening

Axe and Caden start as strangers who are bound by contract, and end in a happily ever after. This is a fun listen as Caden finds his magic and Axe finds his balance.
