Worth the wait . . .

. . . this started out slow and was overacted in the first half to the point that it was difficult to listen for being melodramatic. But, it was worth the wait. It seemed as though the delivery matured along with the titular character. The story picked up speed, the writing tightenedup, and I found myself becoming intensely vested in this man's development. I've never seen him in a movie, in a series, and I've never heard him sing, so I was a blank slate, as he was to me, and I left in awe. Truly remarkable, I can't wait to see what he is up to next.

Loved it! such incredible story of how family secrets, trauma and disfunction can set the trajectory of your life. Terrell made it out against all odds.

Loved it...the narrator was awesome...the story was shocking at times, but good...a very good read or shall I say listen.
