Progeny

Vavra, the first immortal winged unicorn, was born even before the god Mesagan and the goddess Mendina. Over five hundred years later, Vavra’s stepchildren, the twins Cornelia and Cygnet, go to Mauvewood to meet their grandparents and build a relationship with the community there.

It was an awkward first day of school when Tajincour's family met Solange's family across a meadow as the parents saw their children off on their first day of school. Nevertheless, Ajina, the daughter of Tajincour, gets along well with Tereus, Erasmus, and especially Solange's only daughter Kir-rowan.

As they grow together, their bonds strengthen, forging friendships that begin to heal past wrongs. But during a day at the races, a yearling unicorn named Celeste goes missing, and the search begins. The actions that follow unravel the community as the Progeny of Solange are forced to grow up in ways no one with foresight could have guessed.

Will the friendship between dark and light last through the trials ahead, or will the curse and damage of the past break what the children had built?

After all, everyone is someone's progeny.
