Solae loved a man who never existed but found one who made her forget her heart was ever broken. For years, she built a life around Rah’s promises and was blind to the darkness he kept hidden behind charm. But when one secret shatters the illusion, she discovers the real Rah is ruthless, calculating, and capable of anything. When the truth finally surfaces, things become malicious and life-threatening. Left shattered, Solae isn’t just heartbroken; she’s fighting to hold on to her children, freedom, and sanity. And that’s when Priest steps in. Priest becomes what Rah pretended to be and claims her in a way Rah tried to claim her pain. Aaliyah thought she was Rah’s everything, but she was just a part of his performance. She loved him loudly, but she didn’t know she was never the only one. When the truth comes out, the heartbreak shatters her, but that’s when Fabe steps in. He stops protecting Rah’s image and starts protecting her. In Fabe, she finds something she never had with Rah: the right to be chosen. Before the world knew his name, Moses was already Kahlani’s hero. He chased his dreams with one hand and held his family down with the other. His talents were in the streets, but Rah pushed his real talents behind the mic. Rah was supposed to be his trusted cousin and manager. Instead, Rah pushed him from music to mayhem. One violent night reveals the monster Rah has always been, and Moses walks away from the mic. But fate has a way of calling back those born with fire. They all thought they escaped Rah’s chaos, but monsters don’t disappear; they bide their time.

Rah is an urban romantic suspense about deception, survival, and the kind of love that doesn’t just hold you . . . it heals you.It is a re-release of N.A.Sfrom 2014, and both parts of the series have been combined into this standalone with a lot of changes to the storyline.

OMG!! I don’t think I’ve ever hated a character as much as I hate Rah. Rah was a master manipulator. I can’t believe he got away with as much as he did for as long as he did. I’m glad Solae got away when she could and didn’t look back. Kehlani was a real ride or die. Priest was a real great guy. Don’t really know how I feel about Aaliyah, Moses, and Fabe. Rah was a real piece of work and I’ll say it again, I HATE HIM!! I’m satisfied with the ending even though the action wasn’t there.

Rah, the Master Manipulator

I found the book a lil corny but well written. I was a lil disappointed that Aaliyah was getting a happy ending because she lost me at being proud of herself for "taking him" like that's a flex. I found her personality annoying but her last move was her best move so I let it go. Moses and Kelani were definitely my favorite characters. They were loyal to the bone, good people. Both narrators read slow and neither made my favorites list but neither made my hate list either.

Ehh

Male narrator is horrible, hard to enjoy the story. He literally reads the story like he’s a evil villain, very dramatic and unnecessary. Makes it hard to enjoy the book.
