Real Mermaids Don't Wear Toe Rings

Fourteen-year-old Jade feels like a freak of nature when she finally gets her first period in the mall. It gets worse when she runs into handsome Luke Martin in the feminine products aisle while her dad Googles menstruation on his phone. But freak takes on a whole new meaning when hormones bring on another metamorphosis, complete with scales and a tail. When Jade learns she's inherited her mermaid tendencies from her late mother, it raises the question: if Mom was a mermaid, how did she drown?

I love this book so much

I love this book so much everything about this book brought a smile to my face I give it a 100% A+

Maybe not for me age

I think I may be a bit to old for the target group of this story. Or just never were your typicaæ teenage, so I couldn't realy relate to anyone in the story. Still the fantasy-part of this urban-fantasy world had some interesting concepts... though I would probably be more amazed (but off course also freaked out) at getting a tail all of a sudden, not grossed out. Overall I was obiously entertained and curious for the ending, but alot of the (steriotype?) caracters and teen-like acting (and voice acting) felt like a struggle the get trough... again, probably not ment for my age group ;)
