Engaging and informative. Great narration. Depictions of the Civil War were interesting. Will check our sequels.

The story immediately pulled me in.

Wonderful character development. Couldn't put down. I am ready to start book two in this series.

Bad narrator good story

If you can get past the terrible narration it’s pretty good. Pretty standard if you have read any of Cornwell’s other books.

Nice book about secession war

Interesting book around the Bull Run battle of the American Civil War. From a preacher boy to a rebel because of two women.

slow burn

it takes awhile to get into the book I found myself drifting and having to rewind in the beginning but it gets really good so worth it
