Ky Kennedy is a man familiar with the pain life can bring. After losing his mother and being kicked out of his home by an alcoholic father that never cared about him, he finds solace in Dakota, the younger sister of his best friend.

The two of them form a connection that even Ky doesn’t completely understand. Over time, their friendship with one another morphs into the kind of love story that makes Ky think he might be getting the happily ever after he never thought he deserved. Unfortunately, the alcohol that plagued his childhood turns into a vice he can’t escape, and it threatens to destroy everything he holds dear.

SOUL MATES???

I enjoyed every minute of this story! The characters were believable and very likable (especially Ky and Dakota). Among the topics covered were loss, grief, addiction, redemption, compassion, and love. I was provided the book to review but this is an Audible book that I will listen to again.
