SILVER STAR TRILOGY

This is the story of three Silver Star missions flown by the author in the Vietnam War flying the F-100 Super Sabre in 1968-69. His display of bravery and skill leads the reader to understand what it takes to be an aviation warrior. His style of writing puts the reader right in the aircraft with him with radio traffic dialogue and numerous photos of planes, weapons and ground activities. This mini-book is an extract from his original autobiography Born to be a Warrior published in 2015 of over 600 pages. This mini-book style allows the reader the opportunity to share in these exciting missions and also learn about the six levels of military combat awards as he explains the hierarchy of medals from the Medal of Honor at the top to the Presidential Unit Citation at the sixth and last level. He clearly explains courage and sacrifice to earn each of them.
