This book represents my latest contribution to the interpretation of Lunar Returns, both aimed and non-aimed, following the principle that repetition aids understanding. Indeed, the descriptions you will find in this brief volume are nearly identical to those contained in a much more voluminous tome, Transits and Solar Returns, which, in its Russian edition, for instance, exceeds 800 pages. This work is not merely a straightforward copy of the essential parts of that book, but rather a reinterpretation of them, with various annotations and passages that are expanded or emphasized differently. In total, these one hundred and twenty pages serve as a “synthetic reading of the Lunar Returns” the primary aim of this enriched work. It includes some unpublished examples that supplement hundreds of others published over more than half a century of study and research in Active Astrology.

Only in The Great Treatise on Astrology is it possible to examine hundreds of charts that demonstrate the role of Lunar Returns within the learned framework of Solar Returns, where the former significantly underscore what is already apparent in the latter.

It is also worth mentioning the introduction of two “new Northwest Passages” explained in a specific chapter that follows, which, in my view, open up new and intriguing perspectives in the study of this crucial part of Active Astrology. What I like to call the “Dubai family” led by Chiara Barbaro who strongly desired the gem that is the MyAstral app, works nearly 24/7 (since the entire team operates across multiple time zones, primarily between Miami, New York, London, Barcelona, Milan, and Dubai) to offer new, extremely precise tools. These tools allow for the full and error-free use of the magnificent art-science of aimed solar and lunar birthdays. The latest feature, “MyAstral Maps” crafted largely by the brilliant mind of Stefano Briganti, is something even the Author stated just a few weeks ago would be impossible to create. Yet, as someone who is a fervent fan of discovering new Northwest Passages, this exemplifies what can be achieved when one dedicates an entire lifetime to such a project...

Those who are part of this school know that, beyond the tremendous importance of having discovered the possibility of achieving a better year or month by relocating on the day of one’s solar or lunar return, it is equally crucial to conduct this operation not with primitive language like “placing Jupiter in the tenth House” but using high-level trigonometric semantics.

For example, “positioning this cusp at so many prime degrees and at theoretically impossible latitudes” and also checking what it might mean to choose between two hotels, say a kilometer apart, in the extreme north of Norway, Canada, Greenland, or Iceland, to not misalign a Lunar Return sky.
All this satisfies me and is also the legacy I wished to leave to those superior scholars of Active Astrology, and not to clumsy Sunday practitioners trained on some YouTube channel, perhaps followers of the gospel of Duckburg.

My future path, for objective reasons, cannot be long, and I like to think that dozens of books like this and sophisticated tools like MyAstral will clearly guide future scholars who do not yet know they are one.

Long live high-level Astrology!
