From best-selling author Xavier Neal comes a brand-new, laugh-out-loud, paranormal romance you don't want to miss....
I swear, one minute I'm dozing off during the night shift—don't judge me—and the next I'm being told I'm Fate Mated to an ancient dragon.
An ancient dragon I couldn't help but save when he woke me up out of the aforementioned slumber—again, don't judge me.
Now this same ancient dragon—that I'm apparently destined to be with—is doing everything he can to win me over, because it's up to me whether or not he'll live the rest of his life in absolute agony or absolute bliss.
Oh, and let's not forget the fact we're being chased by elves, working with a grumpy Griffin, and have to rescue some poor kidnapped dragon before an evil corporation kills it.
Ugh.
Any chance this is all some crazy dream that I can't wake up from?
No?
Well, can't blame this human for asking.

Zilveran is not expecting to meet his fated mate when he stumbles into a veterinarian clinic to have bullets removed from him. Adae can not believe that dragons are real and that she can actually be with one.
I enjoyed this story as a whole. My favourite was the banter between Z and his inner dragon Silver. There were parts in the story that seemed more like a textbook than a romance book. Not sure if that was the writing or the way it was narrated. I am interested to see where this series goes.
This was my first experience with both Oliver Highpoint and Mooreghan Martin. They both did a decent job with narrating and I would give them both another listen.
Saving Silver is the first book in The Draak Legacy series and contains paranormal, shifter (dragons), fated mates romance and told in the dual first-person point of view.

4 stars overall, 4 stars story, 4 stars narration
This is an enjoyable steamy paranormal romance. It’s short, about 5 hours long. The romance is completed in this novella, and the next couple’s romance is set up (an M/M couple who sound interesting), along with a continuing storyline about villains kidnapping paranormal people. The lovable heroine is a human African American veterinarian with a positive attitude. I love her practical attitude and her expertise in her career. The dragon-shifter guy, Zilverin Draak, acts like a rich white guy. In his family business, he designs expensive watches. I sometimes laughed at the funny dialogue in the book, especially at the genie butler. Also, the love scenes were totally hot and not too frequent.
The story is fun, but it doesn’t have much substance. The only obstacle during the romance is the guy not paying attention to what the lady would like him to do. This is the kind of simple dating problem that people have as teenagers. Also, while I liked the world-building with a variety of genies, shifters, and other paranormal people; the kidnapping villain plot has been done so many times before. The plot is very trite and dumb. In addition, Zilverin’s annoying brother is an immature player with the most stupid, unfunny dialogue.
The pair of narrators each did a very good job. Mooreghan Martin is the female narrator, and I love her voice for the heroine. She has excellent comic timing and is really good at male and female voices. I just didn’t like how she made the hero sound distinctly African American when he was not. She did not come close to matching the amazing voice for Zilverin created by the male narrator, Oliver Highpoint. I thought Oliver Highpoint did an all-around amazing job; he has such a sexy voice. Both narrators were wonderful in the love scenes.
I requested and received a free audiocode from the Flock group, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review. #Flock, #AudiobookObsession
