Two years after their mother went missing, Levi and Coty Maccabee stumble upon a meth lab in the backwoods of Rogue County, Tennessee while riding dirt bikes on private property. Little did they know that their trespass would lead them into a web of crime and cruelty. The teen brothers mistakenly uncover an underground element of a rural crime syndicate whose feared leader is known for proliferating drugs and brutality throughout the region. With the help of two neighbors and some unexpected company, Dillon Maccabee, the boys’ father and Iraq war veteran, sets out to save his son before it’s too late. This Southern Gothic series is set in pre-apocalyptic, rural Tennessee, where the local residents have no idea that the power is about to go out on Screamer Road and the rest of the Continent…for good.
