Vatic is a Company empath with a talent for reading people and a habit of being used. When the experimental bioship CSS Ariadne cuts comms and hurls herself into hyperspace toward enemy territory, the Company’s response is simple. Sedate him, put him on board, and hope he fixes it.

He arrives to find a ship full of corpses, a small knot of tight-lipped survivors, and an SOS that ended with one ugly word: murder. So who’s the assassin when nearly everyone is already dead?

Vatic finds himself in a race against the clock, fighting the remaining crew, the ship, and an unknown enemy presence.

Will he ever get to the bottom of what the hell is going on here? Only time will tell... but time is rapidly running out.
