Sinkhole

After the hurricane, Reggie and Betsy discover a portion of their backyard has begun to sink. Fearing the ground will open up and swallow their house sooner rather than later Reggie calls the city to come fix it, but pushback from the local Sheriff slows the process down by a day. Come nightfall the power goes out, the sinkhole opens, and a busload of ghoulish children crawl to the surface for their first meal in 52 years.

Fun story that took a bit too long to get going

Hearing about this poor guy, dealing with his annoying wife that he loves, can definitely be relatable. And I give the author a lot of credit for making each chapter end on a bit of a cliffhanger. I just wish it didn’t take so long to get to the contents of the sinkhole. I did like this book overall, though.

My first by not my last by John!

I checked this one out because it was mentioned on Written in Red podcast. I had listened to John narrate Billy Silver, so I figured, I dug that, why not try this? Well, it was amazing. A slow burn is one of my favorite things in a novel so this one took care of that want. A sinkhole. A possible forbid love. A bus. Some blood and gore. What is not to love?? While this was my first by him, it will absolutely not be my last. 5/5 whore wives

fun, popcorn book.

a bit overpriced in my opinion but this slasher is pretty good and read (as well as written) by in my opinion the best narrator ever. seriously, I have gotten books before just because he did the narration. love ya John Wayne Comunale

Enthralling and wonderfully performed!

Engaging scary story for a nice midnight drive! The imagery and the author’s reading is perfect.
