MUCH ADO ABOUT KNIGHTING
Arc vowed to avoid drawing attention to himself, but the world has different plans for him! Between hunting magical beasts and unknowingly saving the Queen's retinue, he continues to find himself dragged into one adventure after another, culminating in a reunion with the young catgirl, Chiyome. Follow along as the Skeleton Knight embarks on a quest to set the beastmen free--and perhaps change the world while he's at it.

Second, the storyline has points that get me aggravated. For example, Arc is turned into his game character with enough accuracy that even his made up back story in his head was made reality, curse and all. The fact that his level and ability spread did not translate into experience with the skills irks me. Why bother giving a person super powers with the ability to adjust so that even the finite details are included, but then download nothing on how to actually use any of the skills? It makes Arc look like a dunderhead. I much prefer the isekai types where the character they reincarnate into has backup knowledge to effectively wield the powers.
*Spoiler*
Third, these earlier volumes in the series go heavy handed pounding into the reader that Arc is HUMAN and romantically interested in his elf companion. Later in the series the author does a hard retcon with the absurd explanation that, Oh, I just forgot I was playing as an elf character base with a skeleton curse. OOPS! No. I don't buy that. If you were dropped into a different world and had all these racially charged situations going on you would have to be pretty stupid to not remember that your character was not human under the skeleton curse.
Fourth, the writer steers Arc far away from ever being romantically involved with anyone or ever curing his curse DESPITE those details being hammered into our brains as his fundamental goal with every other paragraph of the first few volumes. When he finally DOES get his cure... Nah, it's just at the pool. Haha. Too bad you readers expected something I dangled in front of your face for volume after volume and then just suddenly breezed that goal away in the next volume. Can't have a Skeleton hero story without a hero as a skeleton, right? Oh, and now he's just another D-less isekai protagonist, so don't expect him to ever act on any romantic relationships.
Good series, though it has a few flaws.
