the entire 4 books start and end together i love that. the story just keeps you hooked cant wait for more

i love this series and this book is no exception.

i love seeing Nicholas progression on improving his powers and managing his burgeoning kingdom my only concern is ho he is going to balance light/dark energies. like he points out he's leaning heavily towards the light side of things and after his revelation showed him that's going to cause him problems if he can't balance the two.

To much unnecessary filler

Way to much stuff that didn’t matter. Hours of dealing with jealousy was just annoying

Hard to stay in the story with the massive pacing issues.

I love the characters and plot of this series, but it's really hard to enjoy them when huge chunks of the book are dedicated to over-explaining and rehashing EVERY SINGLE progression event.
