I love a great duet narration!

Great story, excellent spice, building angst! Perfect! Friends to lovers trope is the best! The music is a cool touch as well!

Excelente historia, amigos y romance

Me encantó, se encuentra bellamente escrito, como a veces por miedo a cambiar lo que tenemos, nos aferramos y no avanzamos. Los sentimientos pueden ser tan fuertes que para no lastimar y dañar la amistad, pensamos que la mejor estrategia es encapsular y suprimir sentimientos, mientras lo mejor podría estar por llegar!!

This is my first Lauren Rowe book and I am hooked.

KC has been in love with his band mate Ruby for 12 years, since he met her at 16. But she is his best friend and he can’t risk losing that or their band. Ruby has just dumped Cooper, yet another loser boyfriend who was using her for her song writing talent and was jealous of her relationship with her best friend in the world. When Cooper writes a dis track about her that becomes a huge hit, fake dating KC while she stays at his place can’t be a bad idea, right?
I really enjoyed Lauren’s writing. Her banter is funny and natural and she really captures the found family vibe of the band. Also, I’m a fan of the low angst of the book. There was plenty of yearning and stakes were high without it being uncomfortable or stressful. Sometimes you just need a book that feels good and full of people you want to spend time with.
If any book was meant to be listened to on audio, this is it. The full cast really helps with a book with this group dynamic. Samatha Brentmoor sparkles as Ruby. I was instantly in love and wanted to be her best friend. Also, the songs that are such important parts of the story are fully produced and woven into the audiobook, really bringing it all together.
I will absolutely be listening to more of her books as there are quite a few about the supporting characters from this story and the music scene in general.

Amazingly, there are real Music clips from the bands included in the audio version of this story.

This book can absolutely be enjoyed as a stand alone. It will be even more special if you have read Lauren's other books to have an appreciation of the secondary characters. They are all awesome!
