He's Done Playing Their Game. Now He's Coming to Burn the Board.

Tortured, framed for murder, and hunted by a kingdom. For Daren Morin, it's a familiar taste of betrayal. His enemies think he’s cornered.

They're about to learn how wrong they are.

His only path to untouchable status lies within a mysterious, labyrinthine artifact—the stage for a deadly, kingdom-wide tournament.

But this competition has its own rules. Can Daren still flip the board?

Join Daren in his journey to power once again. For fans of Progression Fantasy, Magic Academy, and cunning Antiheroes who play to win.

Unfortunately I won’t be continuing on with this series. The story suffers from pretty severe issues, the dialogue is off, full names were used in conversation multiple times, characters spoke and acted without any depth and felt very surface level, pacing is off, things happen very quickly in odd orders and sometimes in contrast to things said in previous chapters. Prose are off, description and environmental development are practically nonexistent, lots and lots of repeat phrasing. it’s just weird and not very enjoyable. That said the magic system was interesting and the fights were also interesting, I just couldn’t look past the lack of a proper cleanup and sloppy technique.

In desperate need of polishing
