Stats, levels, classes, and skills are all well and good, but when you're a Child of Poverty in the slums of City Nineteen, there's little you can do to change the world. Not unless you're willing to think outside the box!

great book

I thoroughly enjoyed the story especially the Victorian esque industrial revolution setting. the narrative performance was of excellent performance and quality as well

Decent, but incomplete

I did enjoy the first 2 books, but they are way too short. Neither feel like a complete book at all and both end with a minor cliffhanger. Extremely frustrating.

good characters and character development

The story was well written has good world building without fixating on it. The characters are varied with personalities that made them feel like people instead of plot points. The narrator also did a great job bringing them to life and made each character unique.

Amazing book

This book is a good short read and sets the stage for the second and third book. I loved it.

all great except....

love the setting, the characters and especially the narrating. the only big thing I can't seem to get past is the girls age. I know, in this genre, there's always a little bit of "too smart for your age" and I get it. you're put into a babies body when you're 20-30 years old and there's gona be some discrepancies. this story took it sooooo far. 6 months and talking and walking. 1 year old talking science and growing mushrooms. 4 year old having philosophical conversations. I know the character is that smart and capable BUT why does noone else seem to notice or care? it's just too extreme to be believable is all. I like everything else and if I imagine she's a little bit older like 8-10, it almost makes sense that people accept it.
