Star Crossed Enemies

Two polar opposite lives become intertwined in the most unusual circumstances during the height of World War II. Will she find her way unscathed through all this chaos? Or, will their forbidden love end them both?

Ruined a touching story

I really hoped I could handle the AI narrator. However, it made listening to the story extremely difficult! The rhythm and inflection of the voice was completely different than the dialogue intended. This made following the story, and the intended mood, challenging! Honestly, I haven’t even made it halfway through the book yet! I am writing this now due to the strength of my dislike for the narration. This story desperately needs to be re-recorded with a living, breathing person! Please don’t ruin this beautiful story!!

Horrible Narration

Virtual narration made this sound like a child’s story. Very hard to listen to. Stopped half through.

good and predictable story

I enjoyed the story overall. strongly dislikes the virtual narrative. the voice inflections was flat. if this book had a person narrating it would have been so much better

Awful Narration

The story was a decent storyline. There was absolutely NO emotion from the narrator. Between chapters there is a pause that is annoying!

Virtual voice

The virtual voice is absuty terrible. There is no emotion, voice doesn't change with characters, many words are unclear as what is being said. I don't know why there has to be virtual voice, it's never any good. I think the story line was ok but, with the virtual voice I couldn't focus on it.
