Confused and bored

normally I try to be sensitive to authors because of how hard it is to write a book, even a poorly written book. this was...different. I gave it a few hours, but after four no real plot, characters were hallow, no arcs fights were after thoughts, and I'm pretty sure this was created by early AI.

not written very well

poor story and character creation. doesn't give much back story for characters or the world they live in.

suffers from poor narration

This book uses what I assume is AI to narrate what I feel **could** be a decent story. Unfortunately, the way it's narrated is monotonous and boring. This is the first title I have experienced with AI telling the story, and it sounds robotic, unnatural, and displays none of the passion you hear from flesh-and-blood narrators. I don't recommend this book as it is presented

Impressively unimpressed

I listened up to chapter 14 and for me i would say this story if exactly what qualifies as “book” to a computer, It has very shallow characters in my opinion and a story that moves along in an odd pacing, along with odd amounts of descriptors in its paragraphs that flow all nearly the same for me. I would be very surprised if this was not written with the help of generative AI if not by it completely. The author already openly admits to dumping VA’s for AI so i have my suspicions on the meat of the story as well. Its fine if you are looking for a way to mindlessly pass a day but thats all i can recommend. If you are looking for this genera try to avoid anything narrated by generative AI, most seem fairly decent if they dont have that flag.
