A story that must be told and read. The first book of a trilogy set for a childhood memoir series--written by two sisters that survived being starved, beaten and frozen with their brother and half-sister. The Ozark Mountains is where the story gets wild when their "parents" own a cult called CSA; Christ's Sword and Arm of The Lord. It's a tale of abuse and survival that will leave the reader inspired and informed. Abuso Abuso Infantil Crianza y Familias Familias Disfuncionales Relaciones

I feel for the author and what she went through. However I had to stop listening because it was repetitive and confusing. Describing an event of abuse the first time she told the story she stated a reason for it. Then she repeats the same story and states she doesn’t know what the reason was for it.

Confusing

If you like political crime history, you might like this. Frankly this was nothing like I expected. I listen to stories like this too share in the victory and strength of the survivor and how she found her strength to find her way out of her personal hell. And that crappy virtual reading! Worst ever! Runs all the sentences together, including starting the next chapter. I was a quarter of the way through and it was making no sense. Started over and realized it didn't make sense because of the lack of break or pause between chapters and running it all together like one huge chapter. Do the authors even listen to the virtual voice they choose for their story? Definitely don't recommend with a virtual narrator. Better to read a physical copy so you can make sense of and follow the story. I would've been poised if it wasn't a free read.

Too political
