Still Standing

At some point in your life, everything you believed to be stable suddenly becomes unstable. Not slowly. Not lightly. It all occurs simultaneously. You are eventually coping, surviving, and persuading yourself that everything is okay, or at least adequate. Then something snaps. It can be a relationship at times. It can occasionally be a dream. Sometimes it's your identity, your confidence, your health, or your financial situation. At times, it's everything at once. The ground seems to vanish beneath your feet at that very instant. You don't fall with grace. You're not ready to fall. You feel hurt, bewildered, and perplexed as to how quickly things fell apart. That's what this chapter is for. The return is not yet complete. Not the triumphant tale. However, the collapse is the aspect that many dislike discussing. Because everyone feels broken before they become strong.
