First gem in a new series

Doug Fletcher shows up as a retired cop needed to help a US Park Service murder investigation in Walnut Canyon. He’s a bit crusty, but teams up with a nearly silent Navajo Nation cop to solve the murder. In the process, they uncover theft of antiquities and drug smuggling. They’re a dream team and watching their relationship evolve was incredible. Looking forward to the next Fletcher mystery.
