Summer Lightning

As Blandings Castle slumbers in the sunshine, secret passions are astir: Lord Emsworth's niece, Millicent, wants to marry impecunious secretary, Hugo Carmody; and his nephew, Ronnie Fish, wants to marry chorus girl Sue Brown. Meanwhile, his Lordship's brother, the Hon. Galahad Threepwood, is writing his scandalous memoirs—to the horror of their sister Lady Constance, and scores of now respectable old buffers up and down the land, unwilling to have the secrets of their own youthful indiscretions disinterred in print. And then, horror of horrors, Lord Emsworth's beloved prize pig, Empress of Blandings, is pignapped. His Lordship, with uncharacteristic decision, sends for expert help....
