Incredibly enjoyable!

From the moment it begins, the narration pulls you straight into the world, making every scene feel vivid and alive. The sound design and voice work blend seamlessly, creating an experience where it’s easy to lose track of time and get completely absorbed in what’s unfolding.

What stands out most in this installment is the emotional weight carried by the characters. Relationships feel more layered than ever, with moments of vulnerability and tension that hit harder because of how well the story has built up to them. The protagonist’s journey isn’t just about survival anymore—it’s about connection, responsibility, and the quiet struggles that come with both.

At the same time, the audiobook never loses its playful charm. The dialogue is sharp, often catching you off guard with clever banter and well-timed humor that breaks up heavier scenes without undermining them. I own all 8 audiobooks currently out and have every intention in owning the 9th, while also looking into what else Ryuto has written.

a fun series

I like that some of the mysteries are getting progress, and I always love seeing iron age vs industrial age tactics. saw a lot of that in Gate.
