Suspicions at Sunset

A train trip to California for her brother's funeral leaves retired police woman Bess Bullock overcome with grief. However, her instinct for mystery is peaked by a curious stranger she spies on the train ride home. She notices a man who is slowly changing his appearance. Bess wants to know why. Once back in her retirement community, Bess finds that the best way to deal with her grief is by keeping busy. While she finds little mysteries to pursue, her most challenging case involves missing narcotics in her retirement home. While the police are baffled, Bess uses her powers of observation and deduction to narrow her list of nurses to one guilty party . At the end of every day, Bess and her husband sit on the back porch and enjoy the sunset. With every sunset, Bess contemplates her suspicions and questions to the many mysteries she investigates.
