Anne lays out her life from her formative years, through her time as a loving father and husband, and finally to the person she is now, a devoted and loving wife.
She deals with the formation of her sex and gender identities including no holds barred details of her transition from life as a man to life as a woman. Her story is that of a wrenching mid-life realization that forced her to deal with lifelong issues. Her insights into understanding her gender are gripping, embarrassing, humorous, and are fascinating reading.

Very Moving

I thoroughly enjoyed this story of metamorphosis in a male dominated society. The author was always confident that her inner voice was always female. I am happy to hear that Annie is living and loving as her true self.

A reading of the physical book is recommended so the reader can see the many photos described. I wish I could see the Red Dress. :)

A beautiful journey.

This is the story of an amazing human being who takes us on the journey of her life. If everyone could hear her story there would be far less unkindness and more understanding around transgendered people. I am a forever fan of this smart, brave woman.
