A must read!!!

This book is great for anyone who wants to learn more about the addict in yourself or in your life. I liked it because shes been through the process in real life. Most people I encounter say they're an expert in addiction but have never been through the struggle. Not to sound rude in any way but she dumbed it down so the regular everyday person can understand lol

The tipping point for me

Thank you for writing this book, Dr Nicole! Your clear language of what exactly my brain was going through by continuing to drink has been a game changer for me. It helped me make the decision to find a local AA group and I am re-listening to your book while on the road to recovery. This changed my life — for the better!

A great quick review on addiction

Awesome read (or listen!). Easy to listen to. She did a good job of breaking down the brain and addiction in an easy to remember format. I will use this to also talk to my patients about it

A Must Read

Phenomenal book by a phenomenonal person. I am a Substance use disorder counselor and because of this book I am able to break down difficult brain and body chemistry to the people that I work with.
