Ian Vale was never meant to be a hero. He was just a healer with a leaky mana pool and an academy that repeatedly rejected him. When a desperate dungeon run puts him face-to-face with a Lesser God, Ian doesn't die, he sacrifices himself into a looping doom spell, becoming something greater than the kingdom has ever seen. Ian conquers the dungeon as The Chosen ArchMage, tasked with saving a kingdom even his newfound powers will struggle against.

liked the book but was disappointed that the main character became an archmage and barely used his magic like a mage.

Fun read

I like the idea for the story but I feel like it could of been better found alot that needed to be edited. it felt like it was jumping all over the place. and felt like the chapters had deferent personalities as the store went

story

This story is written in a males gaze and is very sexual with detail exotic characters, this book starts out normal but it goes left after like 8 chapters.

Beware if you are a woman

-take this with a grain of salt-
first off let me start with the voice actors are good. no complaints there.
but good god I only made it 2 hours before I couldn't stop my face from cringing.
started fine mc has a will to progress and get stronger but the first woman he's alone with was utterly terrible. she's introduced as a bookish/shy girl (nice, no cliche "tsundere", unrequited first love, bestfriend, random first encounter within the first chapter) but as soon as the door closes she turns 180° into a completely different person(im assuming for "plot"). maybe its just me but it doesn't seem genuine to the portrayal but whatever. the whole spicy scene is her in control(ok cool no problem) meanwhile she's talking like she's on the receiving end and I was just confused. goes on to basically say he flirted with her so shes going to take out all her fantasies on him and hes just like ok. it feels extremely forced and cliche. Just hop in bed with the first woman who comes along and completely devote themselves to them just to add more down the line. maybe it gets better.
maybe it won't.
I won't be finding out.

I've never written a review before but theses tropes are getting out of hand. where's the genuine connection? where's the substance? where's the MC's backbone?

no thanks

Thought it might be a little slice of life adventure, and the first little bit was, but turns out it’s some kind of quasi-harem thing with an angsty MC who simps when he’s not playing with himself about how awesome and overpowered he is.

I think I made it 3 hours before I called it quits.

Ridiculous
