The Day The World Ended

What would you do if you turned on your TV and found out that doomsday had arrived? Who would you talk to about this terrifying news, and what would you say? That's what happens in the apocalyptic novel, The Day The World Ended. During an experiment to develop a new form of energy, two scientists accidentally create a black hole that consumes Earth and everything on it. Coinciding with creating a black hole is the discovery of a new Earth-like planet located five light-years from Earth. Several spaceships capable of traveling near the speed of light take thousands of colonists to the new world to save humanity. Will they survive the journey, and if they do, what will happen once they get there?
