“It begins at the end, Veralee, for it is the end that will begin it all,” he replies. He glances toward the single door, “And behold, it comes; now you must run! Gather what has been scattered and hide them in the waters! Remember what you have heard and remember the Door!”


The ground shakes and the sun has grown dark. This is the end and all that Veralee has ever known is crumbling. The prophecies are coming true, the Gate of Red Oaks has opened, the enemy has taken control, and the days are growing shorter.

The world of the Simulacrum, the Boged, the Friguscor, the Archaon, the Tres, and the Rapha, has been set ablaze with the fires of war. The battle grounds have been drawn, the enemy has come forth from the shadows and the destiny of mankind dangles dangerously close to the flames.
