The Fine Line Between Us

Tessa Monroe is a baker whose life is as organized as her kitchen—which is to say, held together by flour, sticky notes, and a desperate desire to avoid confrontation. Connor Hayes is a local police officer who lives by the book, parks exactly within the lines, and has a "gentle-grump" exterior that keeps most people at a distance.

When a sudden mountain snowstorm turns their shared driveway into a battlefield of passive-aggressive notes and "accidental" parking obstructions, the two neighbors find themselves in a war of nerves. But between the "Note War," the "Muffin Intervention," and a meddling neighborhood "exit poll" led by the town’s sharpest-eyed resident, Mrs. Alderidge, the lines they’ve drawn to keep each other out begin to blur.

In a small town where everyone is watching—often with binoculars—Tessa and Connor must decide if their driveway dispute is a recipe for disaster or the start of a story that finally gets the chemistry right.
